Following its sponsorship of the ELI Young Lawyers Award 2018 Interleges was invited to join the members of the ELI as an institutional observer of the organisation. Interleges is the first network of its kind to become an institutional observer and as such joins a prestigious group that includes European Union and other international institutions, national courts and bar associations including the European Parliament, the Court of Justice for the European Union, the United Nations Commission on International Trade and the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom. Institutional Observers play a key role within the ELI. They are consulted on a regular basis, are entitled to propose project ideas and nominate representatives to join Advisory Committees and Members Consultative Committees, which work closely with project teams at various stages of any project being run by the ELI. As such they are able to provide input to the ELI is its mission to provide better law making in Europe.
